Chelsea Bid For Hulk Imminent

Chelsea are readying a bid for Brazilian forward Hulk as he edges closer to the exit at Zenit St. Petersburg.

Chelsea have long been admirers of the Brazilian and are preparing to swoop in and bring him to the Premier League.

With their failure to sign Cavani, and with possible transfers of both Rooney and Suarez faltering, Mourinho is ready to try to bring Hulk to Stamford Bridge.

Hulk, like the aforementioned strikers, will probably cost Chelsea somewhere in the region of £35-40 million.

Hulk did not attend training this morning, which has led Sports Direct News to report that the striker is on the verge of leaving the Russian Premier League.

Zenit only signed him last season from Porto and if they sell him would want to gain at least the fee they paid to the Portuguese club last summer.

Hulk would be a good replacement for former forward Drogba as both players offer similar qualities such as strength and power.

Chelsea are in need of another striker to add competition for the forward role in the side. Currently, Chelsea have Fernando Torres, Victor Moses and Demba Ba on their books.

However, with the arrival of Mourinho it looks as though Ba may well be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.
