There has been some reports on the Daily Mail website which have claimed Chelsea will make an improved offer for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, after their first move was rejected.
Chelsea will now return with an improved bid of £25m — plus £3m in add-ons — and may even go as high as £30m to get their man. The opening offer was revealed by Mail Online and, while Chelsea denied it was a cash-plus-player deal with the makeweights being Juan Mata or David Luiz, they did confirm a bid had been lodged. United are defiant in their claims he is not leaving, but there is no point in keeping a player at the club that clearly doesn’t want to be there.
